WA politicians blocked your vote once — Now it’s up to you to repeal the income tax
Last week, the Washington State Supreme Court rejected Let’s Go Washington’s effort to run a referendum on the new state income tax after lawmakers inserted a fake “emergency” clause designed to block voters from having a say. The Washington State Supreme Court granted the legislature a blank check to increase taxes forever without a referendum check from voters.
But today, the fight to stop the income tax officially begins again.
Let’s Go Washington has now launched a new initiative campaign to repeal the state income tax and put the issue back in the hands of voters.
An initiative requires double the number of signatures compared to a referendum. That’s exactly why the income tax’s chief architect, Sen. Jamie Pedersen, fought so hard to block the earlier effort.
Make no mistake — this tax is dangerous for Washington families and workers.
💸 Once politicians create an income tax, they rarely stop at taxing only “the rich,” as leaked emails from Sen. Pedersen all but confirm
👨🌾 Interestingly, the tax on “millionaires” leaves out the state’s largest companies like Microsoft and Amazon, while levying an additional burden on start-ups, family businesses, and farms
📈 States with income taxes almost always face pressure for higher rates and expanded taxation over time
🏛️ Washington doesn’t have a revenue problem — it has a spending problem, as state spending has more than tripled over the last decade
🚪 This tax opens the door for future taxes on workers, small businesses, savings, and retirement income
The timeline to qualify this initiative is extremely short, which means signature gathering must begin immediately.
Sign up now to be mailed a signature sheet and help stop the state income tax before it becomes permanent.
And please forward this email to friends and family who believe voters — not politicians using procedural loopholes — should decide whether our state gets an income tax.

Odd, a Unconstitutional bill & our so called Supreme Court fails us in WA.
You need to set up more than one petition drop off location if you want this to succeed. What are we supposed to do - drive to Renton from all over the state? Mail them in? If you don't set up multiple drop off locations, you are going to lose a lot of completed petition sheets.
